Who we are

This website is operated by Sherryle de Lanoy under the name LifestylewithSherry at lifestylewithsherry.com. Sherryle de Lanoy is responsible for the personal information collected for this website. For privacy questions or requests, email info@lifestylewithsherry.com.

Contact enquiries

Our contact form uses WPForms and requests your first and last name, email address and message. We use these details to answer your enquiry and maintain relevant correspondence. Please do not include medical records, identity documents, payment-card details or other sensitive personal information. Sending a contact enquiry does not by itself subscribe you to marketing emails.

Comments and subscriptions

When you submit a comment, WordPress collects the comment, name, email address, any website address you provide, IP address and browser information. Approved comments and the name you choose may be public; your email address is not displayed as part of the comment. Akismet helps detect spam. Gravatar may receive a hash of your email address to display your profile image. See Automattic’s notice for visitors and Gravatar and Automattic privacy information.

Where a Jetpack option lets you subscribe to posts or comment replies, subscribing is optional. Automattic processes the subscription details, including your email address, to send the updates you request. Use the unsubscribe or subscription-management link in those emails to stop receiving them.

Purchases and external links

The current shop lists the Bosslady Devotional with a link to purchase on Amazon. Payment, delivery and order details are entered on Amazon, rather than through the product listing on LifestylewithSherry. Amazon handles those details under its own privacy notice and purchase terms. Social-media links and Instagram post links take you to the respective platform, which applies its own privacy rules.

Website operation and service providers

Our hosting provider is HostGator, part of Newfold Digital. Hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser information and access times to deliver and protect the site. See Newfold’s Privacy Notice.

Contact-form notifications are delivered through Elementor Email Deliverability to our email inbox. Delivery records may include recipient addresses, subjects, timestamps and delivery status. Full message-content logging is currently off, and WPForms Lite entry backups are disabled. The email inbox provider also processes correspondence for delivery and storage. See Elementor’s Site Mailer Privacy Policy.

Akismet and Jetpack, provided by Automattic, support spam protection, site services and optional subscriptions. Google services are described below. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to handle a legal claim.

Google Analytics and your choice

The optional Google Analytics tag is configured to wait until you select “Allow Analytics”. Analytics helps us understand pages visited, interactions, referral sources and browser or device information. It uses cookies and identifiers to produce usage statistics. See how Google uses information from sites using its services and Google’s Privacy Policy.

You can choose “Keep Analytics off” and continue browsing. Reopen “Analytics settings” at the bottom of the screen to change your choice. The choice is stored in this browser’s local storage for up to 180 days. Clearing browser storage removes it. Withdrawing consent disables the Analytics tag and attempts to remove its first-party cookies. This control applies to our optional Analytics tag; it does not change the settings of external websites.

Google advertising

This website is configured for Google AdSense, subject to Google’s site approval. When Google advertising is served, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to select ads using previous visits to this or other websites. Google advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to personalize advertising based on browsing activity, subject to the choices and rules that apply.

Advertising choices are handled separately through Google’s consent message where applicable. You may also manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or review participating third-party vendors’ opt-out options at aboutads.info. Google’s message provides information about the advertising vendors and purposes available for your choices.

Other cookies and embedded content

If you comment, you may choose to save your name, email address and website in convenience cookies for one year. WordPress also uses cookies for administrator sign-in and editing; public browsing does not require an account, and open registration is disabled. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser, although disabling essential cookies may prevent some functions from working.

If a page includes an external video or other embedded service, your browser may send technical information to that provider when the content loads, and the provider may use cookies or recognize an existing account. Its privacy notice and consent controls apply to that service.

Why we process information

We rely on consent for the optional Analytics tag and optional subscriptions, and for advertising technologies where consent is required. We use contact details to take steps at your request before a contract where relevant, or on our legitimate interest in answering ordinary enquiries. Necessary hosting, security and spam prevention support our legitimate interest in operating a reliable website and protecting it from abuse. Information required to meet a legal obligation is processed on that basis.

How long information is kept

Contact correspondence is retained while needed to resolve the enquiry, provide relevant follow-up, or deal with a dispute or legal obligation. When those purposes no longer apply, it should be deleted or anonymized; there is no automatic six-month deletion rule. Contact the privacy email above for information about a particular message or a deletion request.

Approved comments and their metadata remain with the discussion unless removed, subject to applicable rights and exceptions. Subscription information is used while the subscription is active; limited records may be needed to honor an unsubscribe request or resolve delivery issues. Our browser-stored Analytics choice expires after 180 days. Email delivery logs, hosting records, backups and data held by other service providers follow the relevant service’s retention rules; deletion from an active system may not immediately remove a copy from a backup.

International processing

Service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States and other countries. Their privacy notices explain the locations and transfer mechanisms they use. Elementor describes processing in Israel, the EU and the US, with adequacy decisions and Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. Newfold provides its Data Processing Addendum through its privacy notice. Google explains its mechanisms in Data transfer frameworks. Contact us for information about a transfer affecting your data or how to request the relevant safeguards.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. Conditions and exceptions apply, including retention required by law. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. We may need sufficient information to verify a request, but please do not send identity documents unless specifically requested through an appropriate channel.

Email info@lifestylewithsherry.com to exercise a right or ask a question. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, such as the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
